Go-To Bars on Coastal Highway at Rehoboth Beach
Downtown Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, has a smorgasbord of fun bars and restaurants. But where to go after a day of outlet shopping on Coastal Highway? Here are a few of my stand-bys:
Crab House: The popcorn is free; the oysters are cheap, and the mussels come in a savory mustard sauce that’s one of my favorites. The bar gets packed at happy hour, so arrive early or late.
Just in Thyme: Very old-school, but the baked brie is fabulous, and the entrees are reasonably priced. The bar fills up, but you can usually get a couple of stools.
El Azteca: The choriqueso is delicious, and the Margarita flight is potent. I’ve never been unable to get a seat.
Touch of Italy: Favorites include the Italian sausage and the burrata. And the ricotta from the salumeria is among the best I’ve ever had. It does get crowded on the weekends.
