Don’t Know Much Geography

FOX News isn’t the only reason why Barack Obama lost the Kentucky primary, according to the likely Democrat nominee.

There’s also geography. “I’m not very well known in that part of the country,” the inexplicably smug ignoramus explained. “Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known — not only because of her time in the White House with her husband — but also coming from a nearby state of Arkansas.”

It’s an interesting theory, in light of the fact that, unlike Arkansas, the rookie Senator’s home state of Illinois actually borders Kentucky.

Maybe he thinks that’s where those extra 7+ states are sandwiched.

  1. Senator Obama, if you haven’t yet chosen a running mate, may I suggest Miss Lauren Caitlin Upton, a.k.a. 2007’s Miss Teen South Carolina? I’m pretty sure she’s still available, and she would balance the ticket nicely: a black man and a white woman, from a northern central state and a southern coastal state, an over-educated fool and an under-educated idiot…

  2. At the end of the day, it’s about Obama being polite enough (and more specifically politically savvy enough) to provide AN answer, not THE answer… which is that there is rampant racism in those areas. Rampant.

(And no I’m not saying all southerns/mountain folks/white people in XYZ state)

But it IS different for a black Democrat to say this than it is a white Republican.

  3. An EMinds reader pointed out to me that, as she says, “while Kentucky might border Illinois, it has much more in common with Arkansas and Tennessee.” Of course, by trying to rationalize what Obama said, she just proved my point…if a Republican had made the same gaffe, she and every other liberal out there (including the MSM) would be mercilessly pillorying him instead.

  4. This guy is showing the same tendencies as my 14 year old about flapping off at the mouth before he thinks through what he is going to say.
