Lt. Governor Bill Bolling’s Second Annual Bloggers’ Day at the Capitol in Richmond, Virginia, was as enjoyable as the first. Mr. Bolling is a gracious host, even with a terrible cold.
Wednesday brought many wonderful moments. A big highlight was watching republican government correct itself as the Senate voted to repeal the abusive driver fees.
The future fortunes of the Republican Party were clearly on many minds present at the afternoon session, which featured speakers Ron Butler of Creative Direct, Frank Atkinson of McGuireWoods Consulting, Sen. Stephen Newman, and Del. Jackson Miller.
Lt. Gov. and Mrs. Bolling treated the bloggers assembled to a delicious dinner of Chinese food, where we enjoyed chatting with Del. Tim Hugo.
And, of course, it was great just be able to connect with the faces behind so many Virginia blogs, including:
United Conservatives of Virginia

I’ve taken cooking classes from New England to the Caribbean, and watched a chef prepare traditional shakshuka in the kitchen of his restaurant in Tel Aviv. I weave historical research and my personal experiences together in writing this blog. I hope you find it helpful. Read more …
