Al-Qaeda’s No. 2 in Iraq Killed

The U.S. military is reporting today that the No. 2 leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq was killed during an operation in Mosul. Abu Qaswarah, who was also known as Abu Sara, a Morroccan, “was al-Qaeda in Iraq’s second-in-command” behind Abu Ayyub al-Masri, a.k.a. Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, and had ties to senior al-Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan and Pakistan, according to the statement. In other words, like Barack Obama, he was connected to terrorists who attacked the Pentagon.
