In a call to a Planned Parenthood clinic, an actor posing as a potential donor specifies that his money be earmarked for aborting black babies because “the less black kids out there, the better”. The actor was calling as part of an investigation led by The Advocate, a conservative student magazine at the University of California at Los Angeles.
“Ha ha,” PP’s development representative responds, “understandable, understandable.”
“I wanna protect my son, so he can get into college,” explained the caller, who mentioned “troubles with affirmative action”.
“All right,” the development rep answers. “Excuse my hesitation, um, um, this is the first time I’ve had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I’m excited, and I wanna make sure I don’t leave anything out.”
The Advocate has conducted similar calls in other states with similar results.
A PP spokesperson called its development rep’s response “unacceptable” and condemned The Advocate for “race-baiting”.
