Christmastime in Colonial Williamsburg isn’t a treat for everybody. Not if you are a treat. One of the great things about CW is that it doesn’t gloss over the harshness of life. The second Saturday of December is hog butchering day in CW. This video shows how an 18th-century butcher would decapitate a slaughtered hog. It is NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART.
